Welcome to A.A. This is a closed meeting for Alcoholics Only If you are not sure if you have a drinking problem please stick around to find out. SobrietyGroup.com was conceived at the diner after a meeting one evening early spring of 2005. Although we are sober members of Sobriety Group and love AA we sometimes have a cynical view of things to offset the heartbreaking circumstances of our disease. We will include practical information for those who find this site about the group and AA in our area. We will do our best to respect the principles of our traditions as well but this is in no way an official AA website. In fact we encourage all AA members who find this site to bring up to there groups GSR representatives the need to amend our traditions to include the internet.

Alcoholics Anonymous® is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

What's new at sobrietygroup.com due to the unrestricted policies and methods of posting to this site we have become victims of Internet spam bot. Because of this we had to redesign the site and have added some new exciting features. You will now have to register with a valid e-mail address to make post to this site but rest assured that we will do everything to protect your privacy within our control. Your personal information will not be sold rented displayed or giving to anyone and will only be used if you have a problem using this site or request help. For your convenience we have added a new forum and photo gallery that you can register and use utilizing the same username and password.
